Dear Michael, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and for your patience. Based on your images, this seems to be: A Okinawa iron tsuba and pommel, with ivory handle, 20th century. This is a hand-forged katana sword featuring a Japanese heat-treated 1060 high carbon steel blade. The blade is meticulously hand forged and sharpened. The genuine ray skin handle is graciously wrapped in black cord and completed by a cast Okinawa iron tsuba and pommel. Very graciously decorated. Good condition.
