Hi Juan, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Your photos are great; unfortunately, the inscriptions are still vague, though I think I can make out the name "Sanchez." The weave on the canvas is a 20th Century one, suggesting this might be a modern copy of an earlier work. The Timeless Treasures label on the back of the frame is one used for one of several fine art clearinghouses that cranked out mass-produced paintings of decorative value. It has little, if any, historical value though the frame is nice and it has an appealing primitive quality. Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A vintage Spanish Colonial style portrait of a Dandy In the Continental style, 20th Century Depicting a man with curled wig wearing a pavilion style headdress, an elephant's tusk hoisted over his shoulder, an elaborate waistcoat and knickers embellished with a clock face and two-part game board, bells attached to his knees and holding a long case in his left hand. Signed "Sanchez" lower left, with other small inscriptions throughout. Bearing a Timeless Treasures label to the verso. 38 by 33 inches, framed CONDITION: appears to be in good condition. PROVENANCE: gift from a friend $300-500* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
