Animal figure was always adapted throughout the 20th century as a Murano Glass composition but they became even more famous with Venice’s high recognition in public. They were produced heavily especially after 1960’s. Yours is probably a touristic quality gift. The golden label is very common with pieces from 1990’s. The work in details seems very familiar so we can assume that the artist of this piece is the same artist of the penguin figurine. Although this piece is a touristic quality piece, it is the top of this league. The beak of the swan, which is a harder part to construct by hand appears to be in very detailed and realistic. Also very proportionate. This reveals the quality of the item. “SF” is probably an atelier in Murano or Venice. Considering that they labeled this piece as the 169th out of 750 it is not an individual artist but a glass production atelier. Golden and dark blue sparks inside the glass was very common in 1990’s as well. Entirely hand made. Dimensions: 6 Inches High Condition: Perfect condition without chips or cracks. Provenance: Inherited from customer’s mother. Hand made Murano Glass, decorated as a Swan. Very elegant beak. 140-180$.
