Hello Kenneth, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, the print quality and the frame, I concluded that this is a Framed Print of the painting known as The Midnight Challange. The piece dates back to the period from 1950 to 1970. The original painting dates back to the 18th century but this is a print copy. The piece depicts a scene where we can see a bunch of deers in a tense environment at night. Hence the painting's name. The piece appears to be a modern print. There were many interpretations of this painting but there are couple of other prints with the exact same writing character and naming. The piece's frame is also accurate for the suggested period with the quality and decoration. The frame appears to be wood or composite material. The frame of the piece is crowned on it'S each side with Rococo style decorations accompanied by floral motifs. The piece was backed by a part of a milk box. The piece was exposed to a liquid material and therefore some of the images on the left part of the piece is blurry. The piece appears to be in fair condition with signes of use and age as well as a visible liquid damage. Mid-Century Print. Dimensions: 30 Inches by 23 Inches Condition: The piece appears to be in fair condition with signes of use and age as well as a visible liquid damage. Provenance: Given to the current owner as a gift 45 years ago. 30-50$. Please don’t hesitate to reach us again for more online appraisals on your precious items, thank you for choosing Mearto.
