Hi Andrea, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. I'm not aware of a line by Baker that was this elaborate; unfortunately, with just one chair, there would likely be a limited market. the condition also looks to be stripped or sunfaded. Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A Georgian style carved fruitwood lolling armchair unattributed maker, possibly Baker, mid 20th Century With arched crest, the back flanked by serpentine arms carved with eagles heads, raised on acanthus carved serpentine supports, the cabriole legs headed by lion's heads and terminating in paw feet; upholstered in a high-end upholstery fabric. overall height 43 inches; seat height 18 inches; width 27 inches at front CONDITION: reupolstered twice; with repairs to eagle and lion heads; sunfaded and surface possibly stripped. PROVENANCE: acquired from Greenbaum Interiors in 1983, $500-800* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
