MAITLAND SMITH IRON AND BRASS LION TORCHIERE FLOOR LAMP

Torchiere floor lamp by Maitland Smith. Features a tessellated marble base with lovely flecks of mica. Iron framing is finished in a bronze/copper finish, with brass mounts and brass paw feet. Gorgeous brass lion heads support the faux-penshell shade which is topped with a brass ring. Operates on an in-line dimming switch. Has minor imperfections towards the base, shown in pictures.

Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A vintage Maitland Smith iron and brass torchiere floor lamp made in the Philippines for Maitland Smith, circa 1980s Topped with a circular bowl-form faux-penshell shade within a brass ring, supported by brass lions-heads, raised on a tripartite copper or brass finished iron frame with paw and acanthus form feet, on a shaped tesselated mica-flecked black marble base. 84 inches high, base 22 by 22 inches. CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with some minor wear and losses to base.
