The 3,01 ct diamond has a great colour and clarity. The diamond is quite stunning and as it says in the graders report it is more or less excellent. It will most certainly attract the attention of both dealers, jewellery makers and private buyers if it came up for auction. A diamond of this size, clarity and cut may surprise at auction at they are rarely seen in this condition.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised jewellery auction, where I believe the 3,01 diamond has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. The price is based on what similar diamonds have been sold for recently.
However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the diamond.
Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

This is a realistic price if it came up for auction- however as I wrote - with diamonds of this quality and size it is hard to say the exact price as they are rare and often very popular at auction amongst both dealers, jewellery makers and private buyers. So it is quite possible that the diamond would sell for more and I would recommend a reserve price close to the estimate in order to guarantee the price.
