Hi Brandy, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. There's a chance this is circa 1830s-40s but I'd need to see a photo of the drawer pulled out so I can see how the dovetails are constructed to be certain. If you'd like for your appraisal to include dimensions, which is customary, please forward in the comments section - at your convenience - the height, width and depth and I'll update this ASAP. Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: An American Empire walnut chest of drawers New England, possibly 1830s-40s The rectangular squared edged top with backsplash over a corresponding case fitted with an outset upper long drawer raised on engaged swelled colonettes flanking three recessed long drawers, all with circular wooden pulls, on turned inverted feet. (DIMENSIONS) CONDITION: appears to be in generally good condition with wear commensurate to age and use. PROVENANCE: inherited $600-900* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary. Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
