Large diamond and precious gems surround a hand painted portrait brooch pendant

Approx 3” x 3” brooch/pendant with a hand painted figure of a lady on a black surface like stone with the frame holding many small diamonds and precious gems. I purchased at an estate auction many years ago. Had them to jewelers who confirmed the gems were genuine but had no knowledge of antique brooches.

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. This brooch is likely from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is in excellent condition, with some light tarnishing of the metal. All of the stone settings appear to be sound, and none of the stones seem to be damaged. The painting is in beautiful shape, and is not scuffed or faded. Given the condition of this piece, and completed auctions of similar items, a fair market estimation is 225-250 dollars. Please reach out with any questions. Bo Stuck
