This is a signed (in Chinese) ink drawing on silk. It is in excellent condition. It has all of the traditional Chinese elements of water, mountains, clouds, nature more powerful than man. The man is harvesting rice with a sickle in the right side the drawing and looks like an insect. There are three dwellings nearby.

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for choosing Mearto for your online appraisal. Based on the images and available information, this item is: A vintage Chinese Ink and Wash Painting on Silk of a Landscape. It is signed on the bottom right corner in the manner of Xian (1618-1689). Remarkable detailed mountainous scene with small house. Silk paintings were highly coveted in history, with most emperors commissioning artists to create their own silk painting to be hungover in their courts. This is understandable as silk was considered to be the purest and most valued material in those time periods. Very good condition. Retail prices may vary
