7.5" "Little Cellist" Hummel figurine. The mark on the base is a TMK1 crown along with "U.S. Zone Germany". However, the figurine looks and feels like a much more modern figurine.

Hi Kate, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. This is from1935-49 but is in very good condition. Hummel figures were incredibly popular among collectors in the 1950s-1990s and there are a lot of them on the market, unfortunately with less demand than supply so it is quite rare for individual pieces to be worth more than $5-50 each, at auction. The value can occasionally be boosted if the piece retains its original factory packaging. Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A vintage MJ Hummel collectible porcelain "Little Cellist" figurine model 89/2, made in Germany by W Goebel, bearing the TMK-1 mark in use 1935-1949 7 1/2 inches CONDITION: appears to be in good condition PROVENANCE: inherited $50-75* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary. Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
