Description

Red Princess Diana hat designed by Wm. Owen also the designer of her favorite perfume. The hat is a traditional design with a brim of see through tulle, silk cap wrapped in Chantilly lace from France. Silver cording trims the cap and is reminiscent of a tiara. The see through brim was designed by Owen to capture he upward glance and frame her face in multiple ways that complimented her unique sense of style. Letter of Provenance and letter of The receipt of the hat by the beloved Princess is attached.

Provenance

The hat was designed for a specific event, for HRH Princess Diana. According to the note penned on Buckingham Palace letterhead, and signed by her lady in waiting the red hat was her favorite. Several others ere made. I have five in different fabrics and trims to match her iconic outfits.
