Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A Chinese blue and white porcelain covered baluster form "Double Happiness" ginger jar Probably Guangxu period, second half 19th Century Of baluster form, with blue and white stylized foliate decoration allover, centering the symbols for "double happiness" in the center of both the cover and the jar; marked underneath with four apochryphal character marks 14 inches tall (excluding lid) CONDITION: chips to lip of lid, old chip repairs to top of lower rim, minor wear to foot commensurate with age.
