The piece dates back to the period from 1950 to 1980. The piece is not an Asian item but rather Turkish. Kütahya is a near Aegean city in Turkey, the city is famous with their porcelain and ceramics that followed and advanced the Iznik style from the 16th century onward. Pieces are usually reffered as ceramics but actually the material of Kütahya pieces are faience. Faince was a cheaper material to use at the time of switch from the actual ceramic to faience, it's durability and less firing cracks also considerably important. Decorated with a Seljuki style geometrical floral pattern with tone of green and blue. The piece is in good condition with a broken part on the rim as well as signes of use and age.
