Hello Nora, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, printing qualitty and the colours, I concluded that this is a Contemporary Japanese Print. Dating back to the 1990-1995 period. Considering the perfect shape and the paper type as well as the composition this piece's first owner is likely the current owner. The piece depicts a Japanese Woman resembling a moment of waiting for inspiration. The Japanese Woman is on the writing process of a scroll, likely depicting an ancient time. The style is very simplistic, appropriate for the period. The seal on the left was used mostly in 1990's but it's not from a famous atelier or an artist. The piece was done on a thin paper, there is no frame or backing. The piece is in perfect condition without visible problems. Japanese Print. Dimensions: 15.5 Inches by 14 5/8 Inches Condition: The piece is in perfect condition without visible problems. Provenance: It was a gift to the current customer from some Japanese people that the customer was teaching in Nagoya in about 1995. 50-80$.
