This is a late 20th century, dated 1986, large sized, limited edition sculpture in .999 silver and bronze of an American Bald Eagle landing on a tree branch that is entitled 'Freedom' by Steve Retzlaff (note, not Ratzlaff). The certificate states that this is over 700 troy ounces. The eagle is done in patinated silver, the branch is in bronze and mounted on a wooden swivel base. This was done in an edition of only 50 copies. During the Recession, when the price of silver was up to around $40 per ounce, this was selling at auction around 2011 - 2012 for $21,000 - $30,000. Silver is now around $17 per ounce. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
