This framed throw rug was purchased at an auction of old Cobb County, Georgia courthouse items removed after the new courthouse was built. A sticker placed on the back indicated it was framed prior to the addition of an area code on phone numbers (early 1950's). It has been reported to have hung, away from sunlight, in the courthouse for 50+ years. It is my personal opinion that it must be very valuable in order to have been professionally framed in the first place.
