Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A pair of vintage Regency style mahogany caned open armchairs In the English taste, late 19th Century Each with oval back with molded rim, shield-form seat with serpentine front rail, curved molded arms raised on fluted supports, all on four molded fluted tapering legs. Overall height 39 inches; width of seat 23 inches, depth of seat 19 1/2 inches CONDITION: not examined in person but condition and wear appears to be commensurate with age and use. Patina is warm and mellow and appears to be original, as does the caning.
