Dear Judy, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. The presented object appears to be two Masonic Knight Templar swords with lengths of 37 inches and 34 1/2 inches. They were made out of steel, brass, and wood. Such ceremonial swords were used as signs of membership in Masonic orders, indicated the rank of the member, and are nowadays still often on the market, especially in The United States. These pieces were probably made in the late 19th century. They are in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 80 to 160 USD each. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, George
