Dear Renata, This oil painting appears to be by the French artist called Etienne Maxime Vallee (act.1873-1881). Dimensions: 32 in. x 42 in. Signed on the lower left. Dated 1876, it was executed in Guainville, a small town in the centre of France. This realistic-orientated landscape with trees and individual figures is a typical representation executed by artists like Vallee from the Barbizon School. The condition is very good overall. Once again, the subject work’s size, composition, and condition (based on photographs and comments provided), as well as the artists’ current auction market, were taken into consideration when determining the estimate.
