Statue of Duane Allman, founder and leader on the legendary Allman Brothers Band. This is a contracted piece inspired by classic photos and some artistic license. No detail has been spared, from the bowling shoes (Google album cover of Duane Allman Anthology) to his classic 1961 Gibson SG gifted by his bandmate Dickey Betts, to the classic shirt worn in concert as photographed by Sidney Smith among others. No detail was spared in this piece as is destined for museum. The artist is Jordan Rojas Utrilla from Chiapa de Corzo. Chiapas. He specializes in statues and relief sculptures depicting native, religious or Mayan themes but as work illustrates Jordan is capable of doing any contracted work with careful guidance. The material for this work is a hardwood native to southern Mexico and Central America commonly called Huanacastle
