Hello Maura, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Knotted Persian Tabriz Style Oriental Rug made in Pakistan. The piece dates back to the period between 1980-2000. The piece was decorated more alike to the classical Tabriz pattern in comparison to the previous Tabriz patterned piece of yours. The composition of the pattern is entirely floral. The piece is richly and heavily decorated by different type of flowers as well as colours. Although some differences in style and colours are visible between pieces made originally in Iran and pieces made in Pakistan, this piece has an over average quality. The piece was centrally decorated which means it has a central medallion. The medallion was constructed very minimally with a single flower and placed within a classical style Herati motif. The Herati motif is a rotated square like element connecting and including foral motifs. The colours of the piece are in harmony and a quite good match for a modern interior. The central area was decorated on a ivory-beige colour while the borders are decorated on a dark blue base. The knot density of the piece is quite high and therefore the motifs were rendered in high quality despite the piece's thickness. The piece was knotted wool on cotton. The piece is in good condition without any visible problem or damage. Entirely hand knotted. Dimensions: 9.2 Feet by 12.2 Feet Condition: The piece is in good condition without any visible problem or damage. Provenance: Unknown. Heavily decorated by traditional Tabriz patterns. 2500-3200$.
