Cora Lee Day Drawing of African American Woman in Bathroom

I am assuming this is a drawing, please correct me if wrong. You can see a few water marks and corrections on the paper. I purchased this at an estate sale and really have no idea what I have.

Hello again Verna, Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. I agree with you, the item presented does appears to be a drawing composed of pastel. The image depicts a squatting young female, next to a basin and clothing scattered about. The drawing appears to be signed "CoraLee Day," and inscribed "#I" to the lower right. After several searches to identify the artist, I was unable to firmly attribute the work to a specific artist. That name is not listed in any listed artist database. However, there was a singer by that name. We cannot firmly attribute to her but there is a possibility based on further provenance. The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of other comparable folks style or naive style drawings by regional or unknown artists. The estimate is contingent on a full condition report. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.
