Colt Single Action Army Revolver

Last time it was shot was in the 70s. Took it to a Antique Gun shop because a manufacturer rep in the industry instucted me too. They were surprised how clean and unused it looked. They felt it must have been an officers gun. Everything is clean smooth and works great. Inside barrel apparently is perfect as well.

Dear Paul, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal. The presented object appears to be a Colt Single Action revolver. This Colt has the serial number 131961 and the inspector name RAC (Rinaldo A. Carr) dates this piece into the year 1890. Fluted, six-shot cylinder and the finish appears to be original in large areas. Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 3000 to 6000 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards,
 George
