Dear customer, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil paint on canvas with 50 x 40 cm measurements. The painting depicts a view of a city with a medieval gateway and a church in the background. This could be a scene for Paris and is painted in the style around 1800 or a bit later of the first third of the 19th century. The canvas is stamped by the manufacturer Susse in Paris. On the frame, we see a later handwriting in pencil named "Xavier Leprince". Sadly this painting is not clearly signed but the motif is comparable to artworks by Auguste Xavier LEPRINCE (1799-1826). This artwork is classified as attributed. Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market. This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 2.500 to 5.000 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, George
