Hi John, Thanks for this, and for the information. I've looked at RoGallery's website for the artist and while "Floral Still Life with Apple" is a great comparable to your painting, it did not sell at the estimate (asking retail price?) of $3,500-4,500 and starting price of $2,600, four years ago. Further internet research has turned up a seadscape that sold on eBay for about $750 - here's the link- (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Oil-Painting-Chris-Trella-Koczwara-American-1945-2005-Seascape-/142896280216). Given that there are no auction records for the artist I am inclined to be conservative and estimate this at $800-1,200. Thanks very much for using Mearto.
