Jerome Straka, my great-uncle, was a collector of Oriental rugs. He left part of his collection to the Textile Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He also left a large-sized Chinese rug to our family back in the 1950s and is now in my possession. It is a large-size red wool Chinese rug with a branch and bird motif. There is also a matching runner. Both pieces are in good condition.

Main rug is 13 ft. x 8 ft.Runner is 34" x 80". ( I tried to download photo but the choose files box wouldn't respond.) Pattern is identical to that of main rug.
