Hello Suzanne, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Blown Murano Glass Bowl, decorated with circular multi coloured wave patterns. The piece likely dates back to the period between 1970-1990. The piece shows some considerable similarity with works of Dale Chihuly. Normally underneath the Chihuly pieces, we can detect a signature from the artist him self, usually a hand carved writing of his surname. Underneath your piece, we can not see any signature. There are a lot of individual artists or atelier that have been reproducing in the style of Dale Chihuly. Therefore, it is not possible to categorize this piece as a Chihuly piece. The piece has a Dragon Fly colour palette with tones of bright yellow and green. The wave patterns are contributing dearly to the dynamic appearance. The single narrow curve of the piece is often not seen in works of Chihuly in this way. The piece has nice finishes with quality work. The piece appears to be in good condition without any problems. Entirely hand blown Murano Glass. Dimensions: 15 Inches by 11 Inches Condition: The piece appears to be in good condition without any problems. Provenance: Unknown. Decorated by Chihuly Like patterns. 200-300$. Please don’t hesitate to reach us again for more online appraisals on your precious items, thank you for choosing Mearto.
