This large bronze depicts a Cheyenne Native American warrior on horseback, armed with a spear and whip. The spear, whip, and reins are all separate pieces from the main casting. The bronze is mounted to a granite base. The piece is in perfect condition, is signed "Copyright Frederic Remington", and measures 22 inches tall, 26 inches long, 8.5 inches wide.

This bronze sculpture was made posthumously, after Remington died (1861-1909). While it's not technically called a "fake," it is not nearly as valuable as those bronze sculptures made under Remington's auspices while he was still alive. However, there is still a market for these posthumous works, with this model currently selling at or near the value I've appraised it at.
