A large Colonial Revival style Chinoiserie eglomise pier mirror, late 19th century. Of rectangular form with molded giltwood frame, the glass in two sections, the upper with an eglomise (or reverse painted) scene of Asian style figures in a landscape. 56 and 1/2 by 34 inches Very good condition; like new. Acquired from Chelsea House (antiques), Gastonia, NC, in the mid 1990’s.
