Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A set of four Gothic Revival carved cherry or walnut leather-upholstered side chairs unattributed maker, American or English, late 19th Century Each with carved ears, pierced trefoil carved backs with arched lancet-form spindles flanked by twisted stiles, over trapezoidal seats over-the-rail leather upholstered seats with brass tack trim, raised on twisted front legs and rectangular-section rear legs, joined by an H-stretcher. 39 1/4 inches high, 18 inches wide at back of seat, 17 inches deep CONDITION: the one chair photographed appears to be in good condition with wear commensurate to age, most notably cracking and some surface losses.
