Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A provincial Regency style mahogany or walnut open armchair Probably English, late 19th Century The shaped crest with undulating spindles, medial back rail continuing into scrolling arms, raised on bulbous turned supports, a trapezoidal over-the-rail-upholstered seat, on four legs with bulbous turned front legs. Later brocade upholstery over original sprung seat and cover. 32 inches high, 21 inches wide, 24 inches deep CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with wear commensurate to age and use.
