Hi Albert, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A vintage Southeast Asian polychrome decorated and part-lacquer carved wood door Probably early 20th Century Centering a large dragon on a red ground, amid stylized clouds 64 inches high, 35.25 inches wide CONDITION: polychrome/lacquer decoration is bright suggesting this was not used outside and/or is not very old, which is a little at odds with the weathering of the back. PROVENANCE: acquired from a Halifax, Nova Scotia estate of Asian art collectors. $800-1,200* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
