Hello Demetrius, I’m glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal request, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, material quality and the composition, I concluded that this is a plaster cast of Buddha by an unknown copiest. The Lorenzi signature on the back does not match with any artist that was ever involved in making a Buddha statue. And certainly not the Renaissance artist Battista di Domenico Lorenzi, known best for his sculptor of Michelangelo at Michelangelo's tomb. This was probably just a decorative plaster casting of Buddha without any artistic value. The sign is just a way to catch the eye of the spectator. Dimensions: 19 Inches 3/8 High, 11 Inches Wide, 29 Inches 3/4 Deep Condition: In need of restoration with multiple visible cracks and chips on the plaster. Provenance: Purchased from a local person in area online had in basement as statue in mancave. Plaster Casted. 10-30$ Please don’t hesitate to reach us again for more online appraisals on your precious items, thank you for choosing Mearto.
