Bronze Sword

Seems like a bronze short sword due to the patina on it, measures about 32 inches long! Has strange symbols on that I never seen before and the handle looks central or south America. Not sure if this item Is authentic or decoration/replica!

Dear Victor, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and I wish you a Happy New Year 2022. The presented object appears to be a replica of a bronze sword with the measurements of 32 inches. This sword is an interpretation of Chinese bronze swords of the time of the Warrings States or Han Dynasty. Especially the abstracted mask on the handguard is typical for these Chinese bronze swords. This sword was made in the second half of the 20th century. Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market. This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 40 to 100 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, George
