Hi Kevin, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. If my research is correct, the game reported in this issue of the NYT was the ONLY Opening Day no-hitter ever pitched. Regrettably, Feller's autographed items are not bringing much money at auction but I think this could break the record for any memorabilia by him and I have evaluated it accordingly. It could be considerably higher than this if sold in the right venue and at the right time. Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A vintage Bob Feller later-autographed newspaper New York Times newspaper dated April 17, 1940 cover page of the April 17, 1940 New York Times framed alongside Sports Page in which the story of Bob Feller's no-hitter opening day game (April 16, 1940) was reported; (frame dimensions) CONDITION: appears to be in good condition; not examined out of frame. PROVENANCE: acquired during an autograph shows in 2008-2009 when it was signed. $600-900* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary. Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
