Blown glass Anubis statue

Blown glass Anubis statue, one solid piece except the spear and ankh, which are removable. The base has an inset image of a set of scales that allows light to pass through when lighted from below. The base itself also allows some light to pass through, distinguishing it from the Anubis figure. Created by glass artist Clinton Roman (J. D. C. Roman). Completed in May 2007. Very good, to like new condition. No knicks, scratches, or breaks. I believe the original sale price of the piece was $17,500.00 USD.

Dear Joshua, Thank you for your help and patience. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal. The presented object appears to be a glass figurine with 14.5 inches measurements in height. The artwork depicts the god Anubis and was made by the glass artist Clinton Roman. He is still active but was not offered or sold in national or international auctions. That means he is just present on the primary gallery market and not on the secondary auction market which defines the fair market value. Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market. This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 2.000 to 4.000 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, Gregory
