I have Japenese Paperwork. There are 2 swords. Sword one has a 29" blade, Sword two has a 28" Blade The blades are slightly curved. I know there are technically 2 items, but because I cannot read the paperwork, I do not know which sword each goes with. If I need to pay a seperate fee in order to get a value for each please let me know.

Dear Jenny, Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal. The presented object appears to be two authentic Katana swords with the length of 29 and 28 inches. Both high-quality blades date before the beginning of the Meiji period (1868-1912) in the 18th or first half of the 19th century in the Edo period. Both swords come with expertises and export papers. The blade also comes with tsubas and hilts. Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market. This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 10.000 to 25.000 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. Artworks with of such an high potential value requires further authentication research. This estimate is provided on the condition of authenticity. With kind regards, George
