Hi. I have 6 antique Windsor arm chairs. I need your assistance in determining whether they are authentic or antique reproductions. Below are the dimensions. Height 38.5 Width 22 Depth 21" inches Seat Height - 17 1/2" Seat Depth - 18.5" Seat Width - 20.5 Arm Height - 27.5" / 28"
purchased from a furniture collector in North Dallas who states he purchased these in England sometime in the mid 1990s.

If these were period (ie, 18th or 19th Century old, antique) English Windsor armchairs, I would expect to see more signs of wear (abrasions, shrinkage, compression on the underside of the foot, etc) than I am seeing in the photographs attached. These are almost certainly of 20th Century manufacture; currently worth at auction between $50-100 PER CHAIR and would be catalogued for auction, as follows:

I would hazard a guess that these were made in England, particularly given the provenance...but as a matter of fact it's a difficult to be sure as it could be either. As far as value goes, since they are not period chairs, place of manufacture makes very little difference as to value.
In your estimation are these reproduction chairs English or American made?
