Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A vintage Nichols & Stone ebonized and parcel gilt tablet-back Windsor armchair made by Nichols & Stone, Massachusetts, mid/late 20th Century made for William & Mary College (Williamsburg, VA), the ebonized frame headed by a scrolled tablet crest centering a gilt shield depicting William and Mary College, over 6 ebonized spindles with faux-bamboo gilding, natural finish arms, ebonized seat, all raised on four faux-bamboo turned legs with an H-stretcher. Labeled. Approximately 30 inches high, 20 inches wide, 22 inches deep CONDITION: appears to be in generally good condition with some minor wear from age and use. PROVENANCE: inherited $100-150* *represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
