Dear Robert, Thank you for choosing Mearto for your online appraisal. Based on the images and available information, this item is: A vintage revolver or six shooter. A revolver is a repeating handgun that has at least one barrel and uses a revolving cylinder containing multiple chambers (each holding a single cartridge) for firing. Because most revolver models hold up to six cartridges before needing to be reloaded, revolvers are also commonly called six shooters. Fair condition. Some engravings but poorly conditioned. Most likely 19th century revolver and it seems it has stamped Belgium proof mark. Retail prices may vary.
