Hello Maria, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, material quality and the engravings, I concluded that this is a Colonial 1806 Napoleonic Replica Flintlock Pistol. The piece likely dates to the last quarter of 20th century or 21st century. This is a replica obviously since the Napoleonic pieces didn't have this specific "N" marked pieces. The "N" marked pieceswere usually made for the emperor or his close circle which would not be an ordinary piece. These were usually made in United States for decorative purposes or for low cost collecting. The engravings on the piece are standart as well as the "Imp. de Le Etienne" writing on the piece. Does not function really, not designed to function. Decorative. The piece is in good condition without visible problems. Dimensions: 12 Inches by 6 Inches by 2.5 Inches Condition: The piece is in good condition without visible problems. Provenance: Purchased in Paris many years ago. 20-40$.
