The cupboard would have most likely held a chamber pot; if this had properly been a washstand, the top would have been marble and there would have been a backsplash. Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is: A vintage Mission style oak pot commode American or English, first half 20th Century Of rectangular section with corresponding squared-edged top over a case fitted with a single long drawer over two short drawers next to a recessed cupboard (lacking door), all on a box-style base. 27 1/4 inches tall, 34 inches wide, 17 inches deep CONDITION: Missing front door on right side. Top in poor condition, with separations. Drawers appear to be in good condition.
