What does this mean?

Dear Andrea,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.

The presented object appears to be a Colt Cloverleaf House Pistol with 41 caliber rimfire. This pistol was made out of steel, brass, and wood and is hallmarked with "Colt's House Pistol Hartford CT. U.S.A." and "PAT.SEP.19.1871."
This piece is in medium to good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 800 to 1.600 USD.
