Deny in Paris, likely in 1880. These rifles were in limited service during World War One, and it was likely a bring-back. This piece is in very good condition, with some degradation of the brass, but no active corrosion. The blade is in excellent shape, and shows no rust or pitting, and the lettering is still legible and crisp.
