Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry, and I sincerely apologize for the delay. This is a Model 1897 Infantry Sword, likely made by Wilkinson in London, and exported to India and sold by Walter Locke & Co. to the Indian Army around the time of World War One. The "1759" mark on the spine of the blade is most likely a serial number. There would likely have been more markings present on the blade, however they have faded off unfortunately. The handle is made from a shark-skin and wire wrap. Despite the corrosion present on most of the metal, The sword appears to be fully intact with no structural damage or missing pieces. Given the condition of this piece, and completed auctions of similar items, a fair market estimation is 15000-18000 INR. Please reach out with any questions. Bo Stuck
