My friend gave me these rugs that were sitting in a warehouse for years, we do not know any details of where they came from originally.
Thank you very much for choosing Mearto with your online appraisal.
Based on the images, this is:
An Eastern Anatolian Caucus tribal kilim circa 1930's. Hand-knotted from pure wool and colored with natural vegetable dyes, this yellow design was inspired by the authentic Anatolian rugs. Red is not the main color (as normal cilium rugs). Showing ornamental motifs and forms specific to Turkish culture, this flat-woven wool rug is complemented with black fringeso on both ends.
Anatolian rugs, also known as Turkish rugs, are produced in the current territory of the country Turkey today, mostly woven by either Kurdish or Turkish nomads.
The condition of this kilim is good condition.
