Hello Sukkah, Thank you very much for choosing Mearto with your online appraisal. Based on the images, this is: An Eastern Anatolian Caucus tribal kilim circa 1930's. Hand-knotted from pure wool and colored with natural vegetable dyes, this mainly geometrical bright design was inspired by the authentic Anatolian rugs. Rare pattern in terms of geometrical distribution and color. Showing ornamental motifs and forms specific to Turkish culture, this flat-woven wool rug is complemented with black fringes on both ends. A Kilim rug is a specific subset of flat weave or plain weave rugs. Anatolian rugs, also known as Turkish rugs, are produced in the current territory of the country Turkey today, mostly woven by either Kurdish or Turkish nomads. The condition of this kilim is good condition.
