These are Purvis paintings that were purchased by my parents in the 1970’s in Claremont Ca. They both have the original frames and backing and are in excellent condition.

The presented object appears to be a lot of two oil on canvas paintings, both depicting wooded scenes along a river -- one is vertically aligned and measures 35 x 23 inches, the second is horizontally aligned and measures 23 x 36 inches. Both are attributed to American artist Albert Purvis (1938-2018) and seem to be in excellent condition based on the images provided. Here is some biographical information about the artist: https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/upland-ca/albert-purvis-8012728 Though there are some works by this artist that appear on the secondary market (primarily eBay) for up to $500, these prices are generally not a reliable indicator for the current fair market value, which I would estimate to be around $200 to 300 USD for both paintings.
