I found a agatized Human Fingertip on private property in Minnesota. It has a fingernail, fingerprint, and it's a perfect match with a cross section diagram of a human fingertip. I cannot get pictures to load, I can send pictures via email once someone responds. I will give a link to my utube channel that has a slideshow if the fingertip below. https://youtu.be/gkqd9CK8-Yk

An exceptional possible fossil find. Though I do believe it may be a case of suspecting what the item is and then assigning the coincidental attributes to it. A causation to fit perceived evidence, but it is uncanny as the x-ray images do match your researched anatomy structures. The geological transformations of the Great-Lakes Region could make a specimen like this viable, but extremely rare. If a pre-historic human artifact was discovered; I do not believe it would be free of a surrounding rock matrix. The rescinding of the icecaps occurred up until about six thousand years ago. Preserved remains become fossils if they reach an age of about 10,000 years; and these geological shifts do fall in that time range. Agate; a composition of quartz and iron ore can create very unique patterns, forms, and coloration. Unique pieces are often sought after for gem collections and use in lapidary work. I have given this example a fair market price assessment based on the item being agate and untested for organisms. Measurements: approximately 1 inch x 1 inch; unknown weight. I would suggest contacting a regional university or museum for additional consultation to assess your specimen. What you have provided here is thorough, but an in-person evaluation will give a higher percent of accuracy in identifying your find. Working with a research facility; a further evaluation would be significantly higher. If it is a human artifact it may not have a sale value as much as an insurance value associated. It is important to recognize local, state, and US federal laws and prohibitions of sale and shipment of Fossil, Paleontology, and Pre-history human artifacts.
